About the trip

Marian Shrines of Europe is a 12-day journey through Portugal, Spain, and France that explores the most significant places of Marian devotion in Europea. The journey begins in Lisbon, where you can visit the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fátima, the site of the Virgin Mary’s apparitions to three young shepherds in 1917. Next, the journey takes you to Toledo, where visitors can explore the Church of Santa María la Blanca. The trip continues to Madrid to discover the Monastery of Our Lady of Almudena and other significant sites. In Zaragoza, visitors will be able to see the Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Pillar. Once in France, you will visit Lourdes and the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes. In Paris, you will explore the Basilica of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal and the city’s most iconic landmarks. This journey is perfect for travelers seeking an enriching spiritual and cultural experience.

DAY 1

Day 1 – Newark

Presentation at the airport to take the flight to Lisbon. Night on board.

DAY 2

Day 2 – Lisbon

Arrival in Lisbon, meeting with the guide who will be with the group throughout the itinerary and transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day free. Accommodation.

DAY 3

Day 3 – Lisbon

Breakfast. In the morning panoramic tour of the city: Alfama neighborhood, Belem Tower, Jerónimos Monastery, etc. Free afternoon to continue discovering the city. Accommodation.

DAY 4

Day 4 – Lisbon / Fatima

Breakfast. In the morning departure to Fatima, an important pilgrimage center: Free time to visit the Basilica and for religious activities. Accommodation.

DAY 5

Day 5 – Fatima / Toledo / Madrid

Breakfast and departure to Toledo. Arrival and guided tour of this wonderful city that was occupied by 3 cultures. Continuation to Madrid. Accommodation.

DAY 6

Day 6 – Madrid

Breakfast. In the morning, panoramic tour of the city, visiting the Plaza de España, fountain of the Cibeles, Plaza de Oriente, Puerta de Alcalá, University City, Puerta del Sol, Congress, Almudena Cathedral, among others. Free afternoon to walk around the city or take excursions optional. Accommodation.

DAY 7

Day 7 – Madrid / Zaragoza / Lourdes

Breakfast. Departure towards Zaragoza. Arrival and visit of the Basilica del Pilar. Free time for lunch and continuation of the trip through the Pyrenees region to reach Lourdes. free time for attend the impressive torchlight procession and visit the Holy Grotto. Accommodation.

DAY 8

Day 8 – Lourdes

Breakfast. Free day in Lourdes for religious activities and enjoy the sanctuary. Accommodation.

DAY 9

Day 9 – Lourdes / Paris

Breakfast. In the morning transfer to the station to take the train to Paris. Arrival to the city of light and transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon we will visit the Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal and Next we will take a walk through the bohemian neighborhood of Montmartre with its majestic Sacre Cour. Back to the hotel. Accommodation

DAY 10

Day 10 – Paris

Breakfast, in the morning guided tour of Paris, visiting the Champs Elysées, Arc De Triomphe, Tower Eiffel, City Island, Notre Dame Cathedral, among others. Free afternoon. Optionally you can upload the Eiffel Tower and take a boat ride on the Seine River. Accommodation.

DAY 11

Day 11 – Paris

Breakfast. Free day in Paris. Optionally, you can visit the Palace of Versailles and/or the Museum of Louvre. Accommodation.

DAY 12

Day 12 – Paris / Newark

Breakfast. Day off. At the scheduled time, transfer to the airport to take a plane to your destination. city. End of a wonderful trip with Travel Express.
