About the trip

This trip will take you to some of the most sacred places in Italy. You will visit Rome, the Eternal City, where you can visit St. Peter’s Basilica, the Colosseum and the Roman Forum. You will also visit San Giovanni Rotondo, where the tomb of Blessed Pius of Pietrelcina is located. In Loreto, you can visit the Santa Casa, where the Virgin Mary was miraculously brought from Nazareth. In Assisi, you can visit the Basilica of Saint Francis. Florence is a city of art and culture, where you can visit the Accademia Gallery, the Bargello Museum and the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore. In Padua, you can visit the Basilica of Saint Anthony, one of the most important Marian sanctuaries in Italy. Venice is a unique city, built on water. You can visit St. Mark’s Square, the Rialto Bridge and the Doge’s Palace. This trip is a unique opportunity to connect with your spirituality and learn about the cultural richness of Italy.

DAY 1

Day 1 – Minneapolis / Rome

At the indicated time, presentation at the airport to take a flight to Rome. Night on board

DAY 2

Day 2 – Rome

Welcome to Italy, its capital Rome. Arrival in Rome, transfer to the Hotel. Lunch. Departure to visit the Roman Colosseum and the Catacombs. Dinner. Accommodation

DAY 3

Day 3 – Rome

Breakfast at hotel. In the morning visit of the “eternal city” touring its main attractions such as the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona, Piazza Espana, etc. Lunch. By afternoon visit to the Basilicas of Saint John Lateran and later the Basilica of Santa María la Maggiore. Back to the hotel. Dinner. Accommodation.

DAY 4

Day 4 – Rome

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure towards St. Peter’s Square to attend the Papal Audience. Lunch. In the afternoon, visit to the Vatican Museums, the Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s Basilica. Transfer back to the hotel. Dinner and accommodation.

DAY 5

Day 5 – Rome / San Giovanni Rotondo

Breakfast. In the morning, departure to San Giovanni. Lunch and free day for religious activities and to visit the sanctuary of Father Pio. Dinner. Accommodation.

DAY 6

Day 6 – San Giovanni Rotondo – Loreto – Assisi

Breakfast. In the morning, departure to Loreto to visit the city and the Basilica Sanctuary of the Holy House. Lunch. Continuation to Assisi. Arrival and the rest of the day free. Dinner. Accommodation.

DAY 7

Day 7 – Assisi / Florence

Breakfast at the hotel. Guided tour of the mystical hometown of Saint Francis. Admission included to the 13th-century Basilica of Saint Francis of Assisi, where the tomb of this beloved saint is located, containing many of his belongings and a series of paintings depicting his life. Lunch. Departure to Florence. Arrival and the rest of the day free. Dinner. Accommodation.

DAY 8

Day 8 – Florence

Breakfast. Today, we will take a panoramic walking tour of this beautiful city declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, visiting the Piazza della Signoria, the Duomo, the impressive Cathedral of Saint Mary of the Flower, the Baptistery, etc. Lunch. Free afternoon to stroll through the city or optionally visit the Academy Museum, where “David” and some of Michelangelo’s most beautiful works are displayed. Dinner. Accommodation.

DAY 9

Day 9 – Florence / Padua / Venice

Breakfast. In the morning, departure to Venice. Along the way, we will make a stop in Padua to visit the Basilica of Padua. Lunch. Transfer to the hotel and the rest of the day at leisure. Dinner. Accommodation.

DAY 10

Day 10 – Venice

Breakfast. Today, we will enjoy a visit to the city of canals. We will take the vaporetto to St. Mark’s Square and embark on a guided tour, admiring St. Mark’s Basilica, the brick Campanile, and the Ducal Palace. Lunch. Free time to stroll through the city and optionally enjoy a gondola ride. Dinner. Accommodation.

DAY 11

Day 11 – Venice / Minneapolis

Breakfast. At the scheduled time, transfer to Marco Polo Airport to catch a flight to your city of origin. Arrival and end of services.
