Terms and Conditions

We know it's tempting to bypass these Terms of Service, but it's important to determine what you can expect from us when you use Travel Express services and what we expect from you.

Payments and Deadlines

At the time of registration, a deposit of USD 400 (American dollars) will be required. Payment of this deposit implies acceptance of the service offered by Travel Express and the Terms and Conditions, which are available on our website and are also sent at the time of quotation and registration confirmation via email.

By accepting the registration form, you agree to waive the right to initiate any chargeback against Travel Express in the event of non-refund or credit from providers due to forced cancellation of services.

Once registration is complete, it is the passenger's responsibility to make monthly payments according to the Payment Plan provided by the travel consultant at the time of purchase to maintain their reserved spot. The amounts established in the Payment Plan are calculated based on the program price and the purchase anticipation time.

The passenger must have 50% of the trip paid off 150 days before the departure date and 100% 90 days before the same date. Failure to comply with this rule gives Travel Express the right to release and use the reserved spot for other passengers and reschedule the trip for the next period.

The passenger must have 50% of the trip canceled 150 days before the trip, and 100% 90 days before the trip. Failure to comply with this point gives Travel Express the possibility of releasing and using the reserved space with other passengers and rescheduling the trip for the following period, subject to the same payment requirements.

If the final payment is not received before the stipulated deadline, Travel Express may cancel your reservation. Additionally, a late payment fee of USD 50 may be applied along with a possible increase in airfare costs.

Travel Express acts as an intermediary, collecting funds on behalf of travelers for subsequent remittance to the corresponding providers, assuming no responsibility for the acts or omissions of those providers.

Payments for registrations and deposits are accepted via bank transfers and deposits or through platforms such as Transbank (Chile), Zelle, and Stripe (United States and Argentina), using credit and debit cards. Travel Express reserves the right to adjust the package price or reduce the contracted services if the valuation of the Euro against the US Dollar increases by more than 3% from the date of price printing.

Air Transportation

This travel package includes round-trip economy class airfare departing from the designated airport. Both the flight itinerary and the airline are subject to changes.

Departure taxes and fuel surcharges, previously estimated, may increase before tickets are issued. In the event that you purchase connecting flights independently, Travel Express will not be responsible for any costs incurred due to the cancellation of your participation, regardless of the reason.

It is strongly recommended not to purchase airline tickets until Travel Express confirms the group’s departure.

Late Reservations

Registration requests received after the established deposit deadline will be subject to prior confirmation. In such cases, additional fees and potential increases in airfare costs may apply.

Airline Seating

The group reservation will be confirmed three months before the departure date. According to group contracts, prior seat selection is not permitted.

Seat preferences, such as window or aisle, may be requested by the passenger at the time of check-in at the airport counter; however, these requests are not guaranteed.

Travel Express cannot process special seating requests on behalf of passengers. Likewise, group reservations are not accessible online for early check-in, obtaining boarding passes, or seat assignments.

Land-Only Passengers

Land-only services do not include any portion of the group airfare. It is solely the traveler’s responsibility to independently manage all air travel bookings.

Passengers opting for land-only services or deviating from the group itinerary will be responsible for arranging their own transportation to and from the hotel or airport. However, if individual flights coincide with the group flights, passengers may use the group transfers.

If air travel is purchased independently, Travel Express will not be liable for the airfare cost should the group not materialize or be canceled for any reason.

Cancellations and/or Refunds

Once services are accepted, they cannot be canceled. This is because, upon payment of the registration fee, Travel Express reserves a spot for the passenger on a trip with a limited number of participants.

Travel Express services, airfare, and other contracted services at the destination (hotels, tours, transfers, etc.) are non-refundable and non-transferable.

The USD 400 registration fee will not be refundable or transferable if the passenger cancels their trip.

In case of cancellation within 100 days prior to departure, or even on the day of departure, all payments made are non-refundable, including departure taxes, fuel surcharges, single-room supplements, deviation fees, travel assistance payments, or other additional costs. Cancellation requests submitted outside these timeframes will not be refunded.

Additionally, no refunds will be issued for unused days or services during the trip due to personal reasons, illness, force majeure, or other reasons.

Up to 120 days before the departure date, changes from one group to another can be made, subject to a USD 200 fee for administrative purposes and the issuance of a new Travel Assistance voucher. After this period, no changes can be made from one group to another. Travel changes and reactivations are allowed for up to a maximum of one year from the change request date.

Deviations and Itinerary Changes

Travel Express is pleased to assist customers with special requests. Deviation requests must be submitted in writing at least 100 days prior to the departure date.

A deviation fee of USD 150 may apply, along with any increase in airfare or other additional fees. It is important to note that not all airlines allow route changes or deviations from the group itinerary.

For additional information, please contact Travel Express.

Accommodation and Single Travelers

The package price is based on double occupancy, meaning two single beds. Passengers may request, subject to availability, a double bed. Single rooms may be requested at the time of booking but are limited and subject to confirmation by the travel advisor and may also be smaller in size.

If a single room is confirmed, an additional charge will apply, the amount of which will be communicated by your travel advisor. While we cannot guarantee the assignment of roommates, we will make every effort to accommodate travelers requesting double occupancy.

If, for any reason, such as the lack of a roommate, their cancellation, incompatibility, or other reasons, a single room is required, the corresponding supplement will apply.

If one of the passengers in a double room requests to switch to a single room during the trip, the passenger will be responsible for both their own individual supplement and the remaining cost of the double room for the other traveler.

Disclaimer of Liability

The services of Travel Express are not subject to the right of withdrawal as established in Article 3 bis of Law No. 19.496. Travel Express does not sell domestic airline tickets, and thus the right of withdrawal or transfer of domestic airline tickets does not apply (valid for Chile).

Travel Express acts solely as an intermediary and agent for our providers, whether in the sale of services or in the acceptance of bookings for services not directly provided by Travel Express (such as air transportation, hotel accommodations, ground transportation, meals, tours, cruises, and others). The confirmed services may undergo changes due to circumstances beyond the control of Travel Express or its providers, which does not entitle a refund, as equivalent services of similar category, service, and location will always be provided.

Travel Express assumes no liability for breach of contract, bankruptcy, or any intentional or negligent act or omission by our providers that results in loss, damage, delay, or injury to any traveler, companion, or group member. Travel Express is also not responsible for changes in religious service schedules during pilgrimage trips in the case of religious journeys.

Additionally, Travel Express will not be held responsible for injuries, damage, or losses caused to travelers in connection with terrorist activities, wars, social or labor disturbances, airline strikes, mechanical or construction issues, illnesses, pandemics, quarantines, local laws, adverse weather conditions, natural disasters, abnormal circumstances, or any other force majeure event beyond the control of Travel Express.

By participating in this trip, the traveler voluntarily assumes all associated risks, whether foreseeable or not. Travelers are advised of these risks and are recommended to purchase appropriate Travel Assistance if deemed necessary. Travel Express does not assume responsibility for minors traveling on the tour, and any minor must be accompanied by an adult and comply with the international travel laws of their country of residence.

Regarding payments, if a passenger does not make a payment for two consecutive months, their spot will be automatically released in the third month, and their trip will be rescheduled for the following period, which will be duly informed. The passenger will always have the option to regularize their payment situation.

Please check the exchange rate when making payments in local currency (valid for Chile and Argentina).

Health Notice for Travelers

All passengers are required to be in good medical and physical condition to ensure the trip does not pose a risk to their own or others’ safety.

Most of our itineraries include extensive walking, stairs, hills, and uneven surfaces, including cobblestone streets. Tour buses are not equipped with wheelchair ramps. If a traveler requires special assistance, they must notify Travel Express in advance and travel accompanied by a person who can provide the necessary support.

Travel Express does not assume responsibility if the special needs of a passenger cannot be accommodated. Likewise, Travel Express is not responsible if any service provider (airlines, hotels, restaurants, or other independent providers) denies service to a passenger.

Travel Assistance

The program includes a Travel Assistance voucher, with coverage tailored according to the age of each passenger. This service can be activated to provide assistance in case of any medical emergency that may arise during the trip. Travelers are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the details of the benefits included in the assistance plan to be fully informed of the coverage provided.

Upon registration, Travel Express will send your Payment Invoice, the Travel Program in digital format, and the details of your Travel Assistance Plan benefits via email and WhatsApp.

The Travel Assistance included in our programs covers travelers from the day they depart their home country until they return.

In case of reimbursement through the Travel Assistance company, they will be responsible for the review period and for directly refunding the passenger. Travel Express has no involvement in this process and is subject to the General Cancellation Conditions of the Travel Assistance company.

Transfers

Transfers at the destination are included exclusively for passengers who purchase the complete package and travel on the group tour’s designated dates.

The checked baggage allowance depends on the route (origin-destination) and the airline in the program, so it should be verified with the Passenger Service Executive (PSE Executive) for detailed information.

Travel Express is not responsible for lost or misplaced baggage. It is the passenger’s responsibility to ensure their luggage accompanies them throughout the trip.

Passport and Visa Requirements

Each traveler is fully responsible for carrying a valid passport and being aware of the current entry and exit requirements for all countries included in the itinerary. Passports must be valid for at least six (6) months beyond the return date. Travelers may also be subject to special entry requirements. It is recommended to consult the relevant consulate for updated information on international travel requirements.

Passengers must submit a copy of their passport four months before the program’s departure date.

It is solely the responsibility of each traveler to ensure that all required travel documentation is complete and up-to-date. Travel Express disclaims any liability for the passenger’s failure to present valid and current entry documents (such as passport, vaccination certificate, or any required test results).

Permission to Use Audiovisual Material

The passenger grants Travel Express permission to use any photographs and/or videos in which they appear, taken during their trip.

It is understood that such images and/or videos may be used in printed or online publications, presentations, websites, and social media platforms. By granting this consent, the traveler waives any claims for financial compensation or potential damages related to the use of such images.
